Tacky Home Decorating

Entering one's home is always an interesting experience. While one may present themselves to society in one manner, a trip inside gives a real glimpse into the inner workings of the individuals mind. One thing we love is seeing what people are up to.

One somewhat popular, yet almost always disastrous decoration theme is the bottles and/or cans theme. Usually these collections consist of alcohol containers but we have heard reports of a Jewett City trailer decorated with full Jeff Gordon Pepsi cans. (The full part is amazing given the known affinity for trailer park residents and soda.)

Recently, while helping paint a South End apartment, we stumbled upon the previous tenants decorative collection of beer bottles. Now it's hard to say, but it doesn't appear that any bottle did not make the cut in this collection.

Who doesn't want visitors to come by and see empty containers of Twisted Tea, Busch or Bud Ice? This collection is a known lady-killer. We did notice a lack of both Schlitz and Schaefer though.

It is amazing that these thoughtful tenants would leave such a museum quality collection behind. One can only imagine the hours that went into building such an impressive inventory.

What is your favorite piece in this collection? We are going to have to go with the Bud Ice bottle. Bud Ice could qualify for the "bad beer" category in that you are surprised to find out that the brand even exists anymore.

  1. The Windex tastes better than the Bud Ice. Don't ask how I know.
