There was flooding all around Connecticut yesterday even causing some schools to be closed. Hartford was also hit by flooding after the heavy rain on Sunday as the forgotten Park River overflowed onto parts of Woodland St on Monday.
The pics of the overflow are from behind Woodland Medical Center where the river took up half the parking lot.
This certainly could lead to some extreme urban kayaking if anyone were to dare try and traverse Hartford's forgotten river while in this state. More pics and video after the jump
Wow, I hadn't seen any of this, though I live fairly close to Woodland street. I think we have to be grateful that it isn't more severe considering the amount of snow that has melted.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of how the University of Hartford's lower parking lots would flood. It would be pretty bad every few years -- it was due.
ReplyDeleteI go to the University of Hartford currently and the whole lower portion of campus turned into a river yesterday causing a structural failure in the bridge going over the park river.
ReplyDeleteRIIIIIIIIVEEEEEEEEEEER DUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
ReplyDeleteReminds me personally associated with the way the College associated with Hartford's reduce car parking plenty might ton. It might be fairly poor each and every couple of years -- it had been because of.
