Hartford Pay Phone Contest: Pay Phones #15 & #16
Pay phones #'s 15 & 16 in the Sad City Pay Phone Search are found on the corners of Albany & Garden in the city's North End. It appears that the Pay Phone Search craze is sweeping the North End because citizens have clearly spray painted a tribute to Hakaan awaiting his arrival by this duo of working phones. One interesting thing we have noticed on some phones throughout the city is the metal strap across the numbers pad that can be seen in #16 on the right. Does anyone know what this is? Is it some type of Braille-blocking type device to discourage the blind from using certain pay phones?
