With its low self-esteem and high urban blight, Hartford is the ultimate underdog city. Sad City Hartford documents the joys, sorrows and eccentricities of New England's Rising Star.

Sad City Artford, Part 2

Demon Perez, finger on iPadDemon Perez, finger on iPad

There's good news and bad news about our proposed art exhibit. The good news is that apparently the aye's have it. An overwhelming 95% of readers surveyed are in favor of some sort of exhibition that documents the sad city experience in an artistic, most-likely post-modern fashion. That's the good news.
So what's the bad news? The bad news is that 100% of our readership recognizes that we are too unmotivated to pull it off alone. We're looking for help. Maybe some sort of local arts group would be up for helping us get our act together. (Cough, cough, Greater Hartford Arts Council, cough)

Thanks to everyone who participated in the survey. We're going to go back to our West End cave and continue to work on some sort of formal proposal. We'll report back in a few weeks. Until then, if you're an aspiring Hartford artist, feel free to shoot us emails of what you've got if you want to get in on the action.
