Hartford Pay Phone Contest: Pay Phone #4
There are few, if any, more despicable businesses to be in than the tow-truck industry. Leeching off of citizens and visitors of the area, these operators can be found on weekends circling the West End like buzzards, looking for any opportunity to hook an unsuspecting car owner up and charge exorbitant fees for latching onto another's property. It is in this horrible environment that we find Pay Phone #4 residing outside Whitey's Towing at 305 West Service St. Pay Phone #4 has surely served more angry customers than most pay phones as people try and muster the outrageous fees to recover their property. One can only imagine how many times Pay Phone #4 has had the phone slammed into the receiver from outraged individuals. It is Pay Phone #4's lot in life to suffer.
