A Whirlwind 24 Hours in the Sad City

It was quite an exciting twenty four hours for Sad City Hartford. It started Monday night when we got to watch the World Series conclude in a victory for the San Francisco Giants. Tuesday we started Election Day by casting our ballots for Connecticut Senatorial and Gubernatorial candidates amongst others.

Then it was off to the NPR radio studios to visit friend Colin McEnroe and sit in-studio on The Colin McEnroe Show for a special Election Day Edition of the show. (Listen to the replay here.) Sad City got an additional bonus during the show as Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz was also present in-studio. Sad City can report that the Madame Secretary was exceedingly pleasant and even gave Hakaan some tips on restaurants in her home town of Middletown. Pleased to meet you Madame Secretary.

Amidst all of this excitement Sad City was able to take some Election Day photos from our voting district. Send in your Hartford election day photos!
